Cut Copy Matt & Kim NYC

2008 was definitely a year for the synthesizer. Electric tracks reined supreme on the dance floor. This union of rock and pop ultimately created a child no one could ignore. Even the shy fell to it's spell of raging excitement. In Ghost Colours, is Australian group Cut Copy's second album. It's a highlight of last years epic rise of electric. I caught Cut Copy at NYC's Terminal 5 on Saturday. The show was absolutely amazing. The show was sold out, meaning about 3000 were there. Definitely one of my favorite live performances, they had the crowd going crazy, you couldn't help but dance. Brooklyn's own Matt & Kim opened started us off that night. Now they are one band to look out for; and if you don;t know, then find out. Throughout their whole set they were both smiling and you can tell they had an amazing time. Matt even mes
sed up alittle, so they broke out into random break dancing.

Back Seat

We all wish we could meet our favorite bands. We wrote them emails, joined their fan sites, even waited in line for hours on end just to get a hello. But three geniuses came up with an idea that not only gave them an opportunity to meet their favorite artists, but they also them got them to play. Black Cab Sessions had bands such as Cool Kids, Death Cab For Cutie, Bon Iver, and Man Man in acoustic sessions in the back of a London cab. If only we had thought of that first. Be sure to check out this awesome video with My Mourning Jacket.
